Neighborhood vet care, done right
The same familiar faces every visit, and a clinic that feels like part of the block.

How we got here
1998
Dr. Dobrin opens Oakwood in a converted storefront, with one exam room and a waiting list by word of mouth alone.
2006
The clinic adds a second exam room, and its first full-time technician, who's still on staff today.
2015
Dr. Marchetti joins, having grown up down the street from the clinic she now practices in.
Today
Same block, same families, same rule: everyone gets the time they need, not the time the schedule allows.

The family

Dr. Walt Dobrin
Founder
Dr. Dobrin has treated three generations of pets on the same block. Grandchildren of dogs he saw as puppies now bring in their own. He still does house calls for a handful of longtime clients who can't make the trip in.

Dr. Sofia Marchetti
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Marchetti grew up two streets over and came back to practice in the neighborhood she was raised in. She says half the job is knowing which dog on the block is friends with which cat.

What the neighborhood says
“Dr. Dobrin has seen every dog I've ever owned, going back to college. That kind of history is worth more than any five-star review.”
- Longtime client, three dogs over twenty years
“They know my cat's whole medical history off the top of their head, no chart needed. It feels like family, not a business.”
- Pet parent to Milo, tabby cat
